Taking commissioned orders now thru September for shawls/scarves (see photos). Perfect gifts for a special someone but you may want to keep for yourself!

Photos shown are to demonstrate size, design and use flexibility. Photos are not all inclusive to color options as this is discussed with each personal order.
These shawls/scarves (in the photos) are 100% cotton - hand dyed, hand spun (no machines) so it can be used on cool nights during the summer. They are soft and feel dreamy on your skin. Some use as prayer shawls too. I will also make warmer shawls/scarves with a heavier weight yarn upon request.
The details:
Shawl/scarf cost is $75 (cheaper than Kohl’s, Macy’s, Etsy, etc) if I shop and supply the yarn once we discuss your color options. If you supply & deliver or ship the yarn to me, the cost is $50. $50 is for my time at the rate of $2.50 an hour. It takes 20 working hours to make the shawl/scarf. Tips are welcome.

All commission orders require $35 nonrefundable deposit. Why is there a nonrefundable deposit? This allows me to secure your materials and the cost of obtaining them. Plus, I’ve made items for clients here on FB and ended up stuck with the item due to no show, no communication or the client changed their mind. I still have those items in bins and took the loss on time and materials.

The balance is due within 7 days when the shawl/scarf is complete. I prefer working with PayPal so we both have legit record of financial transactions. Paypal allows the use of credit/debit transactions both online and in person. PayPal protects the buyer/seller too. But if you prefer cash we can make arrangements to meet at my location choice and I will supply a detailed printed invoice to you. I will not start the project without the nonrefundable deposit.
I purchase all my 100% cotton yarn from Denmark so there is an 8-14 day order/delivery window. Each cake/skein costs $20-$30 depending on color and is handmade for me when I order. I do not work with “garbage/cheap yarn” normally as I believe these shawls/scarves must last a long time with quality materials/ craftsmanship and if taken care of properly. If you want a heavier weight yarn for colder months, I can obtain most locally but like to order that too from Denmark. I’ve been working with this supplier for some time and while the yarn is expensive, it is top quality and the color options are exquisite. You cannot find this yarn in a craft store or Walmart!
Please be aware - these shawls/scarves are “cold water hand wash/line dry”only. No machine wash/dry (will shrink and colors will fade). Care instructions are provided with all finished projects. If you can’t commit to caring for your shawl/scarf, it’s not for you.
Note: If planning for a winter holiday gift, place your order & deposit by end of September to ensure availability for the holiday gift giving season. If you have a special date (wedding, shower, birthday, etc) you need your shawl/scarf by be sure to include your date in your first PM msg.
We will work together to pick your colors and arrange details. Good communication is necessary to ensure you are getting exactly what you want. I document all details and we both have a copy so there is no misunderstanding. So be sure you are available to plan your shawl/scarf.
